Call for Papers - IT Security Summit
September 20, 2011

The 2011 Information Security Organizing Committee invites papers relevant to this year’s theme: “Information Security in a Borderless World”.

Papers are subject for review and selection by the Knowledge and 2011 Organizing Committees. Selected papers would be included in the topics and speakers’ line up for this year’s Summit.

Expected No. of Delegates: 150+

CONTENT AND FORMAT:
Abstracts should be 250-500 words in length. It should cover the outline of the presentation and the relevant concepts to be discussed.

Any topic relevant to the theme will be considered including cloud computing, wireless and remote access, mobile computing, data leakage/loss prevention and social media/networking. The topics could be related to any of the following:
- Security technology - technological aspects of information security, including leading practices associated with their usage, architectural and design considerations, current and future trends, and how to manage a technology infrastructure to make the environment more secure and reliable.

- Information security risk management, governance and compliance - governance models, methods and practices for design and implementation of programs and practices, vendor compliance, metrics and measures, management and leadership, and discussions of compliance challenges and solutions.

- Information security standards and practices - standards, practices, and methods, and procedures which are used in information security.

The following details should be included:
- Presentation title
- Author’s Name
- Affiliation
- Contact details: office number, mobile number, email address

The paper should be written in English, 10 point, Arial font, single spaced.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES:
Send the paper through email to allan.w.ocho@ph.ey.com with an email subject line of “Call for Papers Submission”

Deadline for submission of Abstracts: October 10, 2011
Notification of Presentation Acceptances/Rejection: October 17, 2011
SUBMISSION PROCESS:

If your paper is accepted for the conference presentation, you are encouraged to submit the complete presentation materials on or before November 22, 2011. The presentation materials should be either in Adobe PDF or MS PowerPoint format.

All full presentation materials submitted to the conference will be reviewed by a committee and may be subject for revision in response to reviewer comments and suggestions, with the agreement of the speaker involved.

Email the presentation materials to allan.w.ocho@ph.ey.com with the subject line of ‘Final Presentation Materials’.

SPEAKER’S GUIDELINES:
- Time allotted for each speaker is 45 minutes.
- Please allot some time for Q&A; moderators will be assigned to facilitate Q&A during your session, and can initiate the Q&A portion; 
- If you do not wish to be asked questions after your presentation, please inform the moderator beforehand;
- Please limit your PowerPoint presentation to 20-30 slides maximum, excluding Title & Contact info slides
- If you wish to be notified of the remaining time, or require a timer, please inform the moderator in charge, beforehand.
- If there are any requests, special materials/equipment needed, or planned activities for your session, please do not hesitate to inform us of such in advance, so that we may prepare accordingly.
- Presentations should be genuinely informative, newsworthy or useful content, and not be a disguised pre-sales presentation.
